I am watching a TV series, 'Transplant', a medical show filmed in Toronto, eh.

None of the actors have a Canadian accent, except a patient from Montreal. Can anyone explain why?

    I tried to watch this series, but there were too many sub-titled that were not on long enough to be read and actors with accents that were difficult to understand and finally, I gave up.

    The first season, the subtitles were often obscured a light background, rendering them unreadable. They fixed it this season.
