Unless you know any billionaires personally, you are in no position to make such a generalization. I have read about some extremely wealthy people who held on to enough money to support modest lifestyles and gave the rest of it away.
I don't have a Twitter account so I'm not affected by this change. Having said that, I would be more afraid that misrepresentation and false news and propaganda will spread conspiracy theories and no one will bother to research facts.
The forum is not responsible for researching facts; that is the problem in a nutshell. The forum is a room for conversation and debate about facts and issues. No one should go to a social site to get facts.....you go to see what people are talking about. I am not on Twitter either; never have been.
You're right about that and perhaps it started out that way and then someone decided that they could hoodwink a lot of folks by pretending that some lie was the truth and, when told often enough, became "fact."
Given that I don't tweet, it's unlikely that I could care less - but given that Elon had the opportunity to cure world hunger OR buy Twitter, the fact that he chose to spend his ill-gotten wealth (based on African child slave labour) on the latter tells me all I need to know about him.
