Attorneys methods of questioning can be very strange.

You think the questions are going somewhere and will fit like a puzzle but in the end they just flop with no point made.  It can be a big waste of time.

    Without the apostrophe, it’s a plural noun. With the apostrophe placed after the last letter, it’s a possessive plural noun.
      (Comma after the word “puzzle”.)

    That’s an intentional practice that’s designed to get around a witness’ attempt to hide the truth or outright lie. By not knowing exactly what information is being sought, a person who is trying to lie can inadvertently reveal something when he or she has been confused by the line of questioning.
