Anybody ever buy you a gift while they were on their vacation?

Today one of my grounds keeping customers gave me a cowboy hat that they bought for me while they were on vacation in Mexico. They figured it would be a good gardening hat for me but I think I am going to keep it for a fancy going into to town hat. They have brought me back a lot of cool gifts. A couple Mexican blankets that I really like because they have lots of nice bright colors. But my favorite is a Rasta Man wall plaque that I hung up by my garden to keep the birds away. Cheers!

    Yea.

I was bought a large, ugly ceramic iguana from Mexico, a glass ship in a bottle from Spain, and t-shirts from Australia, Hawaii, and Spain.

Bet that ceramic iguana  would keep pests out of your garden. The glass ship in a bottle sounds like a cool gift and maybe extra special because it comes from Spain . T-shirts are a good gift for the giver and the receiver because they don't take up much space in the suitcases. Cheers!

My sister vacations in Adelaide on a regular basis, staying at our home. She always gives us a "thank you" gift right before departure.
My baby brother did Europe a few years back and sent me a bottle of single malt from the Laphroaig distillery on Islay, and a Guinness pint glass from the brewery in Dublin.

Drinking Guinness is one of the things I miss most from back in my boozing days. Cheers!

I only drink it in winter (and on March 17th every year, that's mandatory). It's too heavy a brew for warmer weather.

Yes. I have things from my grandparents' travels around the world.

I love buying people gifts when I'm on vacation!

I can't travel but I love buying gifts for the people that visit me on the island. I usally get them t-shirts that say - Straight Out Of Nanoose (we stole that saying from Compton). We also stole a saying from Reno - we claim that Nanoose Bay is the biggest little city on the island. Cheers!

Nothing very expensive - just local beaded bracelets, but the thought was sweet.

Well I'm still jealous. If someone gave me beaded bracelets I would use them to accessorise my fancy going into town cowboy hat. Cheers!

My sister usually gets me something when she goes somewhere. Last time was a bag of Meyer lemons from my other sister in FL.

A coworker went to Italy and asked if they could bring me any thing as a souvenir.

Unfortunately, they claimed they didn't find any Pope bobbleheads.

Yesterday I remembered another gift that a buddy bought me while he was on his vacation. It was a t-shirt from the set of the Cheers TV series. He bought it for me because he figured I was a big Cheers fan because I always finished facebook posts with "Cheers!". The real reason I did it was because I picked it up from a computer teacher who always closed assignments with "Cheers!" and it seemed to make the assignments easier. I didn't want to hurt his feelings by telling him the real reason I say it so when he gave it to me I said - hey thank you do you think Norm touched it. Cheers!
