    I've heard stories of how he is very approachable and goes out of his way to care about others.  I like that quality in others. I was unaware he is a stoner. I heard he like to smoke pot, being a stoner is taking it to the excessive level, in my opinion.

    Not really.  

    He was a favorite of mine to use when older family members would go on about the music groups I listened too.  Everything they complained about (long hair, earrings, drugs etc) ole Willie checked the box for them.

    Yes, even though I'm not generally crazy for country music.  When we were young a bunch of our friends would go to Texas to Willie's big picnic yearly. We never even considered going.
