MC5. ABBA. AC/DC. INXS. XTC. How many other bands have a name solely made up of letters and numbers that actually isn't a proper word?

Acronyms (ELO for Electric Light Orchestra, OMD for Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark etc) don't count.

    I like UB40 (I believe Slartibartfast doesn't like one of these, sorry, Slartibrtfast)

    They had big hits with a cover of 'I can\t help Falling in Love" and also "Red, Red Wine"

    Maybe my other answer  (AJR)   doesn't count, too. The letters are the first letter of each of the brothers' names in the band.

    I really liked their "Weak" song the moment I heard it. It was the first song I heard from them. I heard it several times before seeing the video (that I posted up there in this question) -- then I saw the lead singer Jack Met -- immediate crush. Ha. (I'm so weird, I know.)

    I love the line in the song - - "I'm weak --  and what's wrong with that?"
