Did you see that Steve Bannon was convicted of contempt charges?

Steve Bannon was convicted of contempt charges for defying a subpoena from the House Jan. 6 committee. He faces up to two years in a federal lockup. The jury deliberated for just under three hours.  Didn't take them long to get this guy.  Hope he gets the maximum sentence.

Good it will show the other people that are defying subpoenas from the House Jan. 6 that they had better cooperate. Cheers and happy weekend! This post was edited by Nanoose at July 22, 2022 5:35 PM MDT

I think they should definitely make an example out of him and give him the max.

I think it means whatever he was trying to cover up would have meant even more prison time. Now Congress won't get that information unless they find a different source. I think this may be why others have not yet been charged.

I'm hoping they get the information some other way.  They said at the end of yesterday's session that information is still coming in daily.

I'd like to see people who resist giving evidence
receive a shot of truth serum.
    And hear how they answer.

There must be good reasons why this isn't done, but I don't know what they are. This post was edited by inky at July 24, 2022 5:37 AM MDT
