Have you ever noticed that most of the time when a thunderstorm is being depicted in a TV show or movie,

the lightning and thunder occur at the same time? Don't they know the 5 seconds per mile rule?

Darn them special effects!  They take all the fun out of reality.

When a storm is on top of you it can seem that the two events are simultaneous.  But yes, there are all kind of movie mistakes.  I'm watching a five-season series on Prime and wish I didn't keep noticing that the time of day in the story never matches the obvious amount of natural light seen at the windows.

I have also seen background prop clocks that didn't move.

Yes!  My kids and I used to keep a tab on who spotted how many mistakes on TV or movies.

Excellent. A great hobby. Sometimes I will be looking for them so intently, I forget to listen to the dialog.
