Haha cute. I loved that movie when I was a kid. I rewatched it a couple years ago, not so good as an adult lol.

Yeah, funny how often that seems to happen to me! I guess it shows how much we've matured.

And the ones that we still love - those are the real classics!

I don’t know if I’ve matured that much, I just watched Disney Pocahontas cartoon movie this morning and still love that lol, but I get what you mean :)

Man, I could watch that right now! Seriously, I love that. It's definitely a classic! See? That's what I'm sayin'!

I'm wondering if I have Disney Plus or whatever it is called. Hmmm... need to find out!

You should get Disney Plus stat! Not only all the Disney classics but lots of regular movies you wouldn’t expect on it and tv series. I’m rewatching “How I met your mother” on it right now. I like that show more now that I’m older than I did when I originally watched it. It’s worth the ten bucks a month.

You had me at all the Disney classics!

    I just remembered I don't like Disney.

    :(
But those classic movies... I might have to be a hypocrite on this one!

Why don’t you like Disney? if you say they’re “evil“…..

I do think there is factual evidence that Disney was antisemitic, which bothers me a bit.

I think that if delighting children was the true legacy they wish to embrace, the cost of admission to the parks wouldn't be what it is and would be available to more children.

I never thought their legacy was to delight children without turning a profit.  I’ve always assumed every cooperations main objective is to turn a large profit. I enjoy their programming and will continue to do so. I’m not aware of the antisemitic issue with Disney but if that’s true, I can see why that would make people view them as evil. That being said, I’m wondering if that may be dated back to older times though since Disney has been around for a long time. People’s backwards ways of thinking have thankfully changed for the better over the years. So would the culture and beliefs of the employees,  CEO’s, management of major corporations, like Disney.

I'm not really familiar with Disney's practices.  I remember some horror stories about employee conditions at the theme parks that date back 30 years. I have no specific recollections, but I remember a sitcom episode that spoofed it, and maybe a daytime talk show or 20/20 episode.

I'm not sure why others think Disney is evil. I don't think it's evil per se, and antisemitism was more common and accepted here then than it is now. In spite of the terrifying number of racist hate groups in this country today and the politicians who encourage them, we have made progress!

I will think about Disney Plus. I'm sure my occasional visits from young family members would appreciate it, and I would enjoy "Colors of the Wind"! :)

I remember on an episode of Roseanne that David worked at a theme park that was spoofing Disney, they brain washed all the employees. That may be the sitcom you’re thinking of. :)

I was looking into why the Roseanne show “went after Disney“ in that episode after I post this and the reason was that Disney had bought ABC, the network that Roseanne was on.  They made all the popular shows that aired on that Network do and episode where the cast goes on a trip to Disney world for a family vacation. The producers were pissed...it didn’t fit into the show because the Conners were always struggling with finance, so it made no sense that they would go to Disney. Later in the season after their trip to Disney they made the episode about the park employees being brainwashed lol.

That's hilarious and makes sense! I was wondering about that after you mentioned it was Roseanne, because I knew Disney owns ABC, and that Roseanne was on ABC.
