Most of them set themselves. We have something called wifi, you know. It may not be a thing yet in backwaters like Ohio.

I don't live in a backwater and I had to change my watch, microwave, two alarm clocks, the clock on my bedroom phone, the stove clock and my kitchen clock.

I changed my microwave and stove clocks. I exaggerated a bit, but phones and computers reset themselves.

Yes.  I faithfully set all my clocks out back for an hour just before  I went to bed.  Unfortunately, I forgot about them and left them out there all night.  Wouldn't you know, it rained last night.  Now I have to buy a new microwave, a new stove, a new coffee maker, a new ......

Did I remember? Yes. Did I do it? Some of them. I like that rush of adrenaline when I look at the car clock and think I'm an hour late for an appointment.

Yes, I did them before going to sleep last night, thank you.

(Funny thing: very early on Saturday morning, I was going to post a reminder for others to change their clocks, but I had a phone conversation with my brother who lives in our hometown in the Midwest, he told me they no longer have Daylight Saving Time. I believe there are other places that no longer do it either, so I decided not to post it. Even here in California, the word is that this is our last time to take part in it.)

Your brother may be in for a surprise when he shows up for work an hour late. Congress has to approve any such change and hasn't yet reached an agreement. As far as I know, the only Midwest state that has passed legislation to make DST permanent when the federal government approves it is Minnesota.

Duly noted. I’m not sure of the veracity of my brother’s claim that it’s been ended there. Knowing him, it would not be surprising if he has it wrong.

No, he and I were specifically talking about the state.

Yes, back in March - the microwave and my car. Everything else resets automatically. I put them FORWARD a month ago.
