    For me, THE most disturbing movie I've ever seen. And yet it's all so polite and 'gentle.' Nothing in-your-face. And I  find it a masterpiece of film.  

    Even though I don't speak German/Austrian -- I loved the cast in the original. I enjoy reading subtitles, too, with films using languages I don't know.
