For sure because you don't know if someone tried them on in the store before you bought them. Cheers!

I was just thinking that even when I buy new clothes from amazon I will wash them before I wear them. That's probably being a bit of a cootiesaaphob because it is not likely some one tried them on at amazon but better to be safe than sorry. Also I don't try clothes on at the store before I buy them. Cheers!

Yes, I do. It's not only because someone may have tried them on (they could even be returns to Amazon that a customer had tried on at home), but they often have very itchy or uncomfortable finishing chemicals on them.

I never thought about the clothes from amazon could be returns. So now I don't feel silly for washing them before I wear them. Cheers!

They've also been handled by multiple people and maybe not in the hygienic environment.

Yikes. Now I feel like washing my new Christmas robe I got from amazon a few more times. Cheers!

Always. 100%.  Same for my family except for dry clean only pieces, and those get pressed.  Not much to dry clean these days, thank goodness.  We wear clothes made from natural fibers so we still do have to use the iron some.

Always.   That's because there can be chemical residue on the fabric (from the manufacturing process) that can irritate your skin.

"Always," to quote Shuhak and Thriftymaid. And NYAD. And Nanoose.

I don't do laundry; that's what I have a wife for, but she washes many, but not all of the new purchases.
