What can President Obama do in his final two months to protect the world from a dangerously unqualified successor?

If Trump wins, can Obama hide the nuclear codes, cancel existing executive orders, and restrict Trump's power to issue new ones?

If he can't, then will Senators Flake, Lee, Sasse, and others join with Democrats to keep Trump from damaging our international relationships or launching nuclear weapons because somebody hurt his feelings?

Of course not.  Are we going to go on a new campaign now?  Instead of "it's Obama's fault", we now think he can save us?

Right.  Scapegoat is not his title.

I don't think we can even make a plan if that guy wins.  How do you dismantle an inept bungler when he has no business even taking office.  But the American People seem to want to hand it right over to him.

Not everyone fits into one of your two boxes.  I have been very consistent that 90% of the financial, economic, and foreign policy disasters of the last eight years were caused by the Bush administration.  Obama has mostly expanded on Bush programs like the Medicare Prescription Drug benefit for pharmaceutical companies (Bushcare) and no child left untested.  The difference between Bush and Obama has largely been one of competence.  (Obama has a command of the English language and actually killed bin Laden to name two examples.)

While I certainly am not an Obama supporter, he is not a criminal (Hillary) or a traitor (Trump) or a sex offender (Trump), and his steady navigation of the Bush aftermath shows he has the temperament to be President and command respect from other world leaders.  In my view, his policies have compounded the harms inflicted by his predecessor, but he has never represented an existential threat to our country or to any other country that hurts his feelings.

I would think that those in the Democrat box would be the most interested in seeing Obama do all he can to shrink the powers of the presidency in his final months to save us all when Trump has something other than Twitter to express his anger.
