Danny, DO NOT get your medical advice here. See a doctor!

When I was younger, I had debilitating migraines. Somewhere around age 30, my doctor diagnosed me with high blood pressure. He prescribed a drug called a Beta Blocker. I never had another migraine headache. Beta Blockers don't help everyone that gets migraines.

There are more than one cause of migraines. What caused mine and what causes yours may not be the same and the drug that helped me and what will help you are probably not the same. See a doctor!

According to the American Lung Association, "The flu is caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. These viruses spread when people with flu cough, sneeze or talk, sending droplets with the virus into the air and potentially into the mouths or noses of people who are nearby."

Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every year. The best time to get it is soon after the vaccine becomes available in the fall. My family usually get their flu vaccine at a drug store. I don't know if that's legal in every state. If not in yours, get it from your doctor.

According to the National Institute of Health, "Currently, there are three antiviral drugs recommended for treating the flu: oseltamivir (Tamiflu®), zanamivir (Relenza®), and peramivir (Rapivab®)." Again, see your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

The word "flu" is short for influenza. This post was edited by NYAD at March 28, 2023 11:59 AM MDT

What’s wrong with getting medical advice here?  That migraine should go away as soon as I whip up this potion to get rid of those evil spirits.

If you are curious about possible causes and cures sure. If you are suffering from regular migranes, best to go to the Doc and get advice from them.

Ignore all advice that doesn't come from your doctor.

Drop a bowling ball on your foot and you will forget about the migraine. Just kidding...don't do it.

The most common cause of migraine is failing to exercise enough care in your choice of parents, it's genetic.
