You mean the amount we "earn" per hour should be our monthly utility bill?   Wouldn't that be nice!

I keep them off to save money (I live in a cold, dark house).

Turn it back on.  Under Randy’s awesome new plan, you get paid more for having a bright, cheery warm house.

Wait, what? Somehow, I can see this morphing into a criminal queenpin fixing it so that I end up paying everyone’s power bills in the entire United States! Please don’t listen to Livvie, people! It’s not really “my plan”, I merely posed the question out of idle boredom. Grrrrrrr.

My electric bills are low. I don't think that would work very well.

Not if you made the monthly bill per hour, I'm sure. No one's electricity is that cheap!

I would be putting all my neighborhood's bills in my name. This post was edited by my2cents at April 20, 2023 7:57 PM MDT

That’s a great idea!  I want to buy this building now.

Of course, you already know that I’ll be launching an investigation into the origin of the funds used to make the purchase. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

We actually toyed with this idea. We thought about purchasing a large enough solar panel system that would provide enough power for 5 different electric accounts to be supplied. The other 4 accounts would pay us for electric usage (at a discounted rate) and we would also recieve the purchase of the electric from electric company. But then we found out the electric company will not purchase the excess watts produced via cash/check payment. They will only issue credits in watts towards your electric account.
