If a person is rendered guilty in a witch hunt, is that PROOF of witchcraft?

Hello:

Seems to me it IS.  What say you?

I'm confused. Is a "witch hunt" a trial or similar process that can find a person guilty or innocent?

Also, I don't know what would constitute "proof" of witchcraft. Is there such a thing?

No.  In the old witch hunts, they would throw the person into the river. if the accused witch died, it was proof the person was not a witch.   But if they lived then it was proof they were a witch.
    It proves,  people are stupid.

As for the deflamation case, no one was found guilty....it was a civil case not criminal.

The crazy lady could not even convince a NY jury in a civil case that it was a rape.

It did its purpose, give the media a headline.

    Hello again, my:

Yeah, they couldn't prove he stuck his penis in - only his fingers.  Tell me, as a woman, is one ok, but the other not?

    Niether is ok.

Talk to Tara Reade...at least she did not wait 30 yrs to make an accusation. She filed a complaint against him....his people lost the papers of course.   She also knows when it took place. 1993.  There is also a recording of Larry King Live where her Mother called in and talked King about the situation.

Reade also does not have 3 separate prior allegations of rape in her history. But Carrol does....  One very similar to her claim with Trump...but this one in an elevator after an interview with the accused raper.   She also claimed to be raped in IN University and at a summer camp.

Carrol/Trump is a complete he said/she said situation.  And she cannot even come up with the year it happened.   There is a reason for that it is harder for the person to defend themselves....cannot prove they were not even in the same town if they are not dealing with a specific date or even year. Where there's smoke, there's fire. One guilty verdict, or even half a dozen, doesn't prove guilt, just that any doubt over the matter is unreasonable. Trumpicans aren't known for being reasonable.
However, the sheer number of women coming forward suggests a pattern. The man is a serial offender and he's gotten away with it so often that he expects women to let him "grab 'em by the p*ssy, they let you". This post was edited by Slartibartfast at May 14, 2023 6:49 PM MDT

Where there is smoke there is fire....so you believe Hunter is as corrupt as it gets.  You believe that the Biden family is guilty of influence peddling and worse all over the world....nah, all that is probably just something those evil Trumpers made up.

Hunter is a grown man and not his father's puppet (neither has Joe put him on the government payroll, UNLIKE his predecessor did with his brood). Is he corrupt? Probably. Does this implicate his father? No.
I'm not a fan of Biden, he's a stuffed shirt. A career politician and at least as senile as Trump. But the fact that he's NOT a megalomaniac who has built a personality cult around himself has me sleeping a little more comfortably.

The "10% for the Big Guy" implicates Joe Biden.   Gov payroll not good enough Hunter and Family have been getting millions from Romania, China, Ukraine, Iraq, etc.  There are emails, bank wires, video and witnesses to Bidens corruption.

I actually don't think Ivanka or Jared were paid for their WH work...but I could be wrong.

"10% for the Big Guy" could just as easily refer to tithing. Lots of folks pay lip service to their faith by making financial contributions to a church while behaving in a way that contravenes its teaching. More than a few of them are Republicans.

Lol....And dems claimed Trump supporters worship Trump. Hunter is tithing to Joe??? Or PedoPete as Hunter refers to him. There is also video of Hunter complaining about his Dad's cut of his earnings.
As with everything, context matters,  and it was not about tithing. You obviously did not hear the context.

Jared Kushner got a $2 BILLION loan from the Saudis at very favorable interest rates.
Ivanka's 41 Chinese patents requests were fast-tracked after Trump became president

While serving in the Trump White House, Ivanka and Kushner did indeed leverage their positions to bolster their profits. Like Trump, neither of them had fully divested from their businesses, and Kushner sold his stake in one of his businesses only after it directly benefited from the tax bill that his father-in-law signed into law.

    Kushner reportedly
received a $2 billion investment from the Public Investment Fund led by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman after he left the White House last year.

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump reported as much as $640 million in outside income while working in the White House as advisers to Donald Trump, according to an analysis from a government watchdog group.
Russia renewed two trademarks for Ms Trump's business a month after her father was elected in 2016. She won preliminary approval for three Chinese trademarks after dining with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the former president's Mar-a-Lago resort in 2017, the first of more than two dozen approvals for trademark registrations with foreign governments while her father was in office.

Kushners loan was after Trump left office.
Trump/Kushener were in business before Trump was President....Biden family whole business is Biden is in office.  Hunter and family was all during Biden's career.  Over $10million that is documented so far.

Do you think for one minute the Saudis would have loaned him that much money if they didn't think his father-in-law could help them in some way?

I notice you had no comeback for any of the other things I cited.

EDITED TO ADD:  In case you couldn't open the link that was posted by another member, here's the text:

"Republicans’ big investigation into the Biden family has revealed … not a lot.

The House GOP accused Joe Biden and his family on Wednesday of engaging in business with foreign entities—but were unable to provide any actual evidence linking the president to any wrongdoing.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer released a 65-page memo detailing a sprawling investigation into Biden and some of his relatives, particularly his son Hunter Biden. Nowhere in the massive document was there a specific allegation of a crime committed by Biden or any of his relatives.

Again, the loan was AFTER Trump had left office.
Biden's makes all their money while in the Big Guy is in office.
As I said, our lawmakers have made influence peddling legal.  It is proven that it happened.  But it is not illegal.    For it to be illegal, they will have to prove policies were effected.   The odds of that kind of proof are very slim.   Even slimmer for a left wing politician.
But they do have proof of money in millions so far flowing to the Biden family. And there is a whistle-blower evidence of crimes in possession of the FBI but they have refused to turn it over at this point.

You're trying to convince me that the FBI has all this damning information but they refuse to turn it over?  You must think I fell off a turnip truck last night.

Biden is centre right, like most Dems - there is ONE left wing politician in Congress and he is regarded as a maverick - Bernie.
Of course, they are to the left of Trump but so is everybody including Mussolini.

He does not have direct evidence yet.  The FBI is refusing to give a whistle-blower report to the House committee after their request.
We definitely know that the Biden family was influence peddling to the tune of millions.  Now, unsurprisingly our lawmakers have not made this type of actions completely illegal. (If at all)  They will have to prove Joe Biden is "the Big Guy" and likely that it effected his policies.  A high bar not doubt....but they are just getting started.

OK. I see that I wasn't the one confused. Apparently, the original post had nothing to do with witches or witch hunts. It was a metaphor. What it is actually about was in the mind of the author only. The subsequent posts have made it their own topic. If I had recognized that fact initially, I could have put my own interpretation on it. Let me see...
