In 2020, my locally owned drug store closed down. I was transferred to CVS. The staff there are usually very nice but their website is impossible. Refills and renewals take at least two phone calls after trying to accomplish the tasks on the website. Cancelling a prescription does not compute. They're always trying to get me to refill prescriptions that the doctor has taken me off some time ago. I always end up growling under my breath when dealing with them.
My alternate choices are two supermarkets or Walmart.
When I went to my follow up with the surgeon that did my surgery in April, he prescribed one more temporary drug. It's an over the counter but when I checked with CVS to see if it's ready for pick up, it said it was on back order. I sent my daughter to find it over the counter which she did. I took one dose of the stuff and it made me sick. Sort of like the cure is worse than the condition. I called CVS to cancel the prescription that was on back order.
Then ordered a refill for another drug. When a friend picked up the refill that I ordered, she was given (and charged for) both the new refill and the cancelled drug. Now I have 2 bottles of the stuff that I can't take. Looking this info up, I saw that a prescription that I tried to cancel a month or so ago is "ready for pick up".
I don't know about your CVS website, but you can't cancel a prescription on mine. Almost every time I have a prescription transaction, there's some kind of glitch involved.

As I'm physically disabled, I don't have the luxury of going to the store myself, I had to send an emissary to pick up. She didn't know that one of the items she picked up had been cancelled. I could have had the order mailed for an additional fee of $5.00 but the package would have still contained the cancelled prescription.
Always a glitch and it will be a surprise that I didn't expect so I can't pre-plan to avoid.
On the positive side, local business wise, the place in town that makes the best burgers and onion rings and the place that makes the best Rueben have both opened back up.
