Poor grammar does that to people. Grrrrrrrrr.

I don't care much for poor grammar myself but let's face it, we get a lot of it in song lyrics.

(Comma missing after the word “myself”. The two clauses of your declarative statement need to be separated by punctuation.)

I did consider putting a comma there, but with one after "let's face it" I thought the sentence would look cluttered with too many commas. Lol :)

Poetic licence. Playwrights do it too, Shakespeare's grammar was atrocious at times.

Mick doesn't have an off switch. He's been going on like this since 1962. All of this time and satisfaction still eludes him.

He's still uptight about the brand of cigarettes the guy on TV smokes. Stress less and don't sweat the small stuff, Mick.

What a terrible version. What a bunch of weirdos.

They were quite popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

I like their version; hadn't heard it til now. I've always liked Devo, too.

Their weirdness/uniqueness is, in part, their appeal to me.  :)
