I have only broken my glass once time. I forgot my phone on our trailer. When we moved, it fell off and the trailer with at least 15k pounds on rolled over my screen cracking it badly. It was a brand new phone less than a week old. Thankfully, I had paid for the insurance. Insurance upgraded me from the new phone.
My phone is in its case with protective glass over its screen. I have replaced the protective glass several times. But those are cheap. 3 for $10.00

ive had my phone for almost three years and no screen cracks, my husband's phone though is very cracked and it's only a little over a year old. I've watched mine slide down the pavement screen down and it's still fine
