Harvard President finally resigned. But should she still be a tenured Professor there?

Somehow, I don't think this is what they mean when they say she plagiarized anything.

I find it hard hard to believe Harvard of all places, does not have a way to check for plagiarism "before" a degree is awarded, my colleges had some procedure to check. I read Gay didn't do it just one time but there was a pattern of plagiarism on her part, only recently discovered, find this strange to say the least.  Was someone covering for her all along, many questions for sure. 

They knew but chose to ignore it.  Because she checked the diversity and equality boxes they wanted to fill. 

I thought the same thing.  What I don't understand is that there surely are other Black women who could have ticked off all those boxes who legitimately deserved the Presidency.

Understood.  What I don't understand is why they didn't find out about the plagiarizing before she was made President.

They knew and did not care. She was a D.I.E. hire. As I understand it there were powerful people pushing for her hiring as Pres.  One specifically was Pres Obama for whatever reason.
