Should the US follow?

Only in places where IDing someone is necessary.  Drivers license must show the persons face.  If interacting with police, face must be shown to the officer. When voting ID must be shown and must see the face matches the ID. Or any other time when verification of ID is needed. 

Countries which have a more homogenous composition can claim a specific culture.  I believe Austria, Denmark, France, Belgium, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Gabon, the Netherlands, China, Morocco, Sri Lanka and Switzerland have all banned the burka and niqab.  It would be difficult to do that in the United States simply because of the fact that we represent all cultures, not just one,
