I remember being called for jury duty on an attempted murder case. One of the prospective jurors being questioned said, "Let's face it, if the defendant had been home reading the Bible, none of us would be here." Needless to say, she was excused. :)
Well it might not last 6-8 weeks – it might only last until the courtroom sketch artist runs out of orange (stole that joke from a talk show host). Cheers!
One of the jurors they accepted is a teacher who said she had no idea that there were three other cases against him. This is the kind of juror the prosecution would love to have.
