Have you heard this song (that I never heard until this morning on the radio)?



Sam Cooke's  "A Change Is Gonna Come"


Blew me away -- that wonderful-to-me orchestra backing up his glorious-to-me voice - - Wow.
Cooke bettered my life today even more than he has already done through my life.

That's all I can say for now

    Sure do! It's a marvellous song. I was in my teens when I got to know it, initially through Seal's cover.

    I never heard Seal's cover, either. He'd probably do well with it, too.

    I'm completely out of it as far as this song, that's for sure. 
    When |I listened to the words,i knew I had "missed it" for a very long while.

    I hope a change is gonna come for the person I'm worried about. A realization is  much needed, like the one I've had lately, then maybe a change will come to her like it has for me.

    I know the song. I actually find it sad and a little depressing. But I do agree he has a wonderful voice.

    Yeah, Cooke's voice really shines to me on the song. Don't know how I lived so long and had missed it.

    Welby, I cannot believe you don't know that song.  You know music and that is Sam Cooke's most important work to many.  This article is excellent.
