It's NOT a holiday in Australia. There's a world's outside the US, did you know that? Even on Australia Day (26th January) there are some people who still need to work. Police officers. Fire-fighters. Paramedics. Hospital staff. All the cogs don't stop turning because of the calendar. They usually get paid overtime rates on holidays, but they're still at work. I'm sure the same is true over there.

I have no plans other than to continue purging all of the crap I've accumulated over the 46 years I've lived in this apartment and packing what remains for my move later this month.
Thinking of doing the same thing. Hopefully I'll be moving soon as well, waiting to hear about the apartment. It's much smaller and there is no way I can take everything in my basement. There are some items I need to keep, things like homework from school will have to go, hate to throw out all that hard work.
I have thrown out more things that I didn't even remember I had. I couldn't believe all the junk I had just in my linen closet. Good luck with your possible move. :) It's very stressful and I can't wait to be on the other side of it.
Same here, I'm looking forward to the move and at the same time dreading it. Apartment life is not something I have ever enjoyed, now I have pets that will make it more of a challenge. It's something that is necessary but once the move is made, everything will change...everything.
I agree with you. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about pets. I may get a small dog when I settle in. I think purging items I don't want to take with me is taking longer than the actual packing will take I will have three times the space I have now, but won't likely have 46 more years to accumulate stuff. :)
Working the first part then playing. Will go have pizza and the watch fireworks with kids. I don't know for sure if we will have the grandkids or not depends on my daughter's schedule.
