Can Trump be bought?

Trump resonantly started endorsing electric cars. And I’m wondering if I has anything to do with Musk giving him large donations. And I also wonder if the drug cartels start giving him donations will he start claiming that there is nothing wrong with a little Fentanyl on a Saturday night. Cheers!

He has not changed on electric cars.  He has always said if you want one you should be able to get one. Bit no one should be forced to buy one.  They are not suitable for everyone.   If you have to travel long distances they are not for you. Takes too long to charge.

Semi Trucks currently are not practical for electric.  Again too long to charge. And they weigh too much, they will destroy the roads.

Trump verified that Musk's campaign contribution DIRECTLY led to his policy change.

"… other than that, they’re fantastic and I'm for electric cars. I have to be because, you know, Elon endorsed me very strongly. So, I have no choice."

Yes, Musk is backing Trump.  But Trump's rhetoric about electric cars has not changed.

This is from C-Pac March 2023:

"....They want all electric cars that don’t go very far. I have a friend. He bought a car. He said, “The car’s wonderful. But I go for an hour and a half and I got to put a charger and I can’t find a charger. I’m going crazy.” Also, all the batteries and everything, the material comes all out of China.

We have oil and gas, but we don’t want the oil and gas cars. But we want everything, including electric cars. But we also want gasoline because the cars go longer, and they’re preferred by many people. We don’t like quick drives that are stopped for two and a half hours...."

Just about everyone can be bought - it's just a matter how much is offered.  Trump is against something until he's for it depending on who he wants to appease.  It's sickening that people have to interpret what he means after he says something because he's too inarticulate to make himself understood in the first place.

Probably true that just about anybody can be bought. But Trump takes taking bribes and kick backs to a whole new level. Here he is pushing beans in the WH. Cheers!
