The announcing he supports it. Is not a flip flop for votes.  It is simply a new position.  

So Trump supports IVF and believes all health insurance policies should be required to pay for IVF treatments.

He didn't even know what IVF was until a "very attractive" woman told him what it was, so how could be be the father of it?

He supports IVF in his policies.  
So evidently the "very attractive woman " explained it and was very convincing that it was a good option for some couples.  

Again, I believe it was a statement to make the press cover his actual position on IVF (he supports it and thinks the Federal government should pay for it)

And it worked wonderfully,  the press  could not resist a new line of attack, not thinking about the fact that it publicizes Trump support for IVF. Something they had tried to claim he opposed. Trump used their hatred of him to his advantage.

He supports it because he knows what it is NOW.  That being the case, IVF existed well before he knew what it was, so I ask again, how can he be the father of something that existed before he knew what it was?  

Again,   the I am the Father of IVF comment was to manipulate the media to cover his position on IVF.  It worked.  
I explained it more than once (see above)....
