It is getting close, have we had any October Surprises?

None?
Are any coming?
Or did we have some but the media buried them like the Hunter laptop story in Oct 2020?

A judge releasing more than 1,800 pages of evidence in Special Counsel Jack Smith's election conspiracy case against Trump before the election was a bit of a surprise. Cheers and happy weekend!

True but it is nothing new. Just the same charges just reworded to say private citizen Trump rather than President Trump.

It is the same charges but it also shows some of the evidence that could make the charges stick. Cheers and happy weekend!

The only changes were reworking the same evidence to claim it was only a personal act and nothing was an official act.  (All Presidents have immunity for official acts)

I was surprised about all the private money used to organize and advertise that rally. Even to the point of paying for flights and hotels and providing bus transportation for a 180 mile radius. This seems to point to it being a campaign event, not an official act.

It surprised me what Trump found appropriate to discuss in today's rally. At about 11 minutes.

I did not care for that part of his Arnold Palmer story either.

I’m surprised he talked about someone that was bigger than him. Cheers!

Maybe he is saving that for his inauguration speech if he wins the election. He will start by talking about Lincoln's big hat then say – but you know what is really big?

I was thinking a reporter should bring up the Palmer story then ask Trump who he thinks is bigger Palmer or Putin - and I bet Trump would say Putin. Cheers!

Interesting that someone who detests homosexuality should be so enamored with Palmer's "package."  Just when I think Trump has hit bottom with his nonsense, he proves me wrong.

The Hunter thing was never buried, on the contrary it was blown completely out of proportion. Hunter Biden was not and never has been running for any kind of office, and unlike Trump's pestilential offspring, he didn't get a sinecure government position after Joe got elected either.

    It was never buried?

The newspaper that broke the story was banned from Twitter.  Anyone who tried to post about the Hunter laptop was censored or banned on Twitter,  on Facebook,  on YouTube.   Google hid the news story.
Former FBI/CIA agents issued a letter they knew was a lie claiming it was Russian discrimination disinformation.
There was a sizeable percentage , enough to change the result) of Biden voters who said had the heard the story before the election, it would have changed their vote.

It was ignored....and it was a true news story. This post was edited by my2cents at October 20, 2024 2:20 PM MDT

But his Dad was and the laptop doctuments Joe's activities involving payoffs from many foreign countries including Ukraine,  Russia,  China,  and others.

Anyway,  back to the question is the media ignoring news now in 2024?

How might Russian discrimination be involved?

Kamala has her plagiarism in her book exposed.  (No wonder Biden picked her)

Kamala's husband (Doug Emhoff) got his nanny pregnant and paid her off getting her to sign an NDA.
Kamala's husband  allegedly slapping his ex girlfriend  (after the Nanny just before Kamala) hard enough to spin her around.  Because she touched the valet-s shoulder to get his attention.  She runs to a taxi, which he gets in as well. The ex gf calls a male friend so she could have a audio witness to prevent further abuse.  The ex gf says Kamala's husband and the nanny's baby died in a miscarriage that the Mother blames Kamala's husband for.  And this is what NDA is about.  There are both police and ambulance records showing both were called to the nanny's home.
Kamala's husband does not deny the nanny's pregnancy but has had his wife's campaign issue a denial of the abuse.

Media to my knowledge has been ignoring these allegations.

Weren't you just whining about how no one wants to stick to policies? What does this have to do with policy? And there is a lot worse that is public knowledge about Trump.

This is not a policy question, this is basically a media bias question.

Is this a case of " did not say/do it,
    .....and others have done worse?"

I am not sure there is worse than causing the death of your unborn child by abusing the mother...but that is just me.

I thought it was a question about October surprises. Yet you chose to answer your own question by repeating something that you had already posted here well before October. It isn't even about the person running for office.

Read the complete question above. I specifically mention the media ignoring negative stories.

This story is about  Kamala's husband.  Yes I posted something about it roughly 1-2 weeks ago (still in Oct)  Imagine, the media ignoring a similar story about one of Trump's kids.

The other story is about Kamala directly and her plagiarism in her book. This post was edited by my2cents at October 20, 2024 9:05 AM MDT
