Lie on a gun application and never use the gun in a crime? You won't be prosecuted. Don't file your taxes and later pay them in full as well as the fines, you won't be charged.
And I still never thought Merritt Garland targeted anybody as you implied.

He wasn't charged with 3 of those 5. The ones he did get charged with are rarely prosecuted, under the circumstances I described earlier - not using the gun, paying all taxes and late fees in full, even millions. You clearly have a different set of facts, so of course you have a different opinion.
Garland slow walked the IRS investigation which allowed the statute of limitations to expire on the millions he avoided taxes on. (According to two whistle-blowers) So NO he did not pay all of his taxes, he waited out the clock with Garlands help.
The lying on a gun application is indeed charged against people, yes, it is usually discovered while investigating another crime. As was the case, with Hunter. (Rapper Kodiak Black was imprisoned for this)
Yes, the the DOJ (the same one Biden claims targeted his son), chose not to charge for the other crimes. FARA (Manfort was imprisoned for this)
We know he was a Crack addict....are you claiming that is not charged often??? Who was in possession of a firearm....that is illegal.
FBI has the sex trafficking evidence on the Laptop. Trust me if you or I had the what he had on his laptop, we would be in prison. FBI also sat on that evidence for years as well.
Good for President Biden. He should also issue a blanket pardon for every single person on Trump's revenge hit list like Jack Smith and his team, Mueller and his team, etc.
Who says it's not two-tiered? Trump should have been criminally, not civilly, charged for the Trump University fraud. And of course, his $25K contribution to AG candidate Pam Bondi, who declined to prosecute as Florida AG had nothing to do with it. He also should have been criminally, not just civilly charged for misusing charitable donations to the Trump Foundation. Rich, powerful people have always had advantages.

Trump never claimed for years that he would not pardon anyone. Much less any specific person. Biden did. We all knew it was a lie. He should have pardoned him from the start why waste our time and tax money....
Just as I wasn't surprised when then-President Trump pardoned his son-in-law's father, as was already mentioned.
Not overly impressed but impressed with Hunter's words after his pardon. And I'm not well-versed on all the details on all the presidential pardons in history.
I wonder if pardons within families would be tempting if we ourselves were president.

Never, ever, desiring to be a President, I can only imagine what it'd be like to be a President, let alone also being an individual person going through life, like all of us. Life can change in a day for all of us. I' m thinking he may have been possibly thinking different things, been in a different place in his life since when it all started, and certainly his public and professional life has changed a lot. He may not have planned on changing his mind. When one changes his/her mind, sometimes that doesn't necessarily mean, to me, that they're lying.
I, also, think he may have just changed his mind.
And, like I said in answer, I know Presidents in the USA have been pardoning people for a long time for whatever reasons.
