Why would an employer ask these questions? Would you be OK answering them?

 Note that this is posted under Jobs,  not Politics and is about the questions not the employer.

    Psychologists, HR people, and sociologists prepared these documents.  While RM talks about honesty she is attempting to say President Trump wrote these items.  If I had to guess I would guess no.  

    Continue on RM, you have no road back to legitimacy.

    I amended my description to add that this was not meant to be a political question. I am no fan of Maddow and cannot stand her smirking.

    Because she didn't bother to say where the questionnaire came from, I looked up the name. This originated from a company headed by Jordan Peterson. I have heard his name, but don't really know his idealogy.
     
    I assume that this questionnaire is available to, and used by other employers. Regardless of what employer administered it, I would be uncomfortable at answering such personal questions for a job.

    The pages in the video note they were created by examcorp.inc.  I do know that Dr. Jordan Peterson is the Psychologist who moved to the US from Canada and now I don't remember what his reasons were, but he is well known author and he calls himself a liberal.  That's what I remember from seeing him quite a while ago in an interview.  

    I agree with you.... I imagine I would skip questions that I thought were outrageously inappropriate.   I do know those type questionnaires are created to get truth to some questions by asking questions that have nothing to do with the desired information.   In this case they may be looking for how you might respond to hard questions from media (for example).

    So let me see if I got this right. In America a persons chances of scoring a job with the Treasury dept. or the school board could depend on if they like going to museums – and or having sex with other people. I probably know why an employer would ask questions like that but my answer is political so I can’t answer. Cheers!

    I would like to know what the reasons behind the questions is and what would the right or wrong answers would be. Like if a person answers that they like museums would they be considered too sensitive or cultured for the position. Cheers!

    I would not answer most of those questions.  

    I wonder if they are weeding out the crazies by eliminating those who would answer. 

    I would not hire someone willing to share that info with me as an employer.

    It looks as though some of these questions are an attempt to week out LGBTQ persons. I'm not sure than most of them are even legal to ask on an employment application.  As for some of the other questions, a background check would determine if the person has some "mental health issues."  If you listen to the entire video, it appears that these questions are being asked by RFK's team.  Whether or not they were promulgated at the behest of Trump, I'm not sure he would go that far.  If those questions were asked of me, I would walk out and look for another job.

    I heard about on as a political commentary,  but my question wasn't meant to be political. This questionnaire wasn't invented by RFK jr, it is produced by a company and probably sold to anyone who wants it. It would be interesting to see all the questions to see what percentage were too personal. And I agree, one question about whether I like to show off my body, and I'm out.

    I tried looking up this company online, but didn't get far.  The website has to be joined before any info will come up and I didn't want to give them my email or anything else.

    I found a little information.  The company founder and president is Jordan Peterson. He is a well-known author and psychologist. I have heard of him, but know nothing about his idealogy and there seems to be some controversy about his work and public statements.
