Trump also says he will rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. If he has it his way he will change the name of Washington apples to Trump apples.
    Cheers!

Greenland is not new....Truman also tried to buy Greenland. And other Presidents as well.

The Panama Cannal is being controlled by a Chinese owned company....that is in violation of the Treaty giving the Cannal to Panama which says it must remain neutral.   China is not neutral.

Canada is likely about trade/tariff negotiations  etc.

What is insane is his denial of climate change, which is what is making Greenland much more important as shipping lanes are opening up as the ice melts and making the minerals in the region accessible for mining. His refusal to rule out using military force in Greenland or Panama is troubling. It seems like he wants to keep Russia and China from gaining the advantage in the Arctic region. If there is a conflict, we have to consider all the countries and their potential roles.

As for Panama, the main reason for concern is not the shipping fees, but the possibility that the Chinese companies who manage the ports could make them inaccessible in wartime. They are used to re-position US warships. My concern is that control of Panama and Greenland are just precursors to the an even more aggressive attempt at world domination and where that will lead.

Climate change will also benefit Canada's position in the world. As the US heats up and suffers from wildfires and droughts, Canada will have a milder climate, abundant fresh water, and easy access to the new shipping lanes in the Arctic. It's not all good for Canada and they would be better off if climate change did not occur, but they will be better off than the US. China and Russia are also in better positions geographically.

So, which is a better strategy - acknowledging and addressing climate change or preparing for WWIII?

Climate changes.....humans do not cause it.

There are parts of the ocean that are frozen now, that were not centuries ago.

So any comment that disagrees with MAGA beliefs is removed as a personal attack?  The fact the leading scientists across the globe acknowledge that humans are accelerating climate change is completely untrue. All this talk of greenhouse gasses caused by burning fossil fuels and cutting down trees is just a hoax. Is that what you want to me to say? Yes, climate change is natural, but natural climate change is excruciatingly slow, not what we're currently seeing because of human actions.

One of the removed comments was just a LOL. I can't see how that breaks a posting rule. Cheers!

The rule against acknowledging the absurdity of certain MAGA beliefs. It's in the fine print. But you can freely post any salacious, unfounded rumors or accusations of corruption without evidence against the left, without censorship, no matter how insulting it is to a member.

I don't think I get it. Unless the second one on the right is supposed to be Trump with a block on his head - because he is a Block Head. Cheers!

Some folks are like: If you disagree with me and my politics, I will censure you. Sounds like trump. If that happens here, I shall leave.

If that's true, then repost the comment you deleted and let us decide if it's against the rules.

No, I am not allowed to discuss moderation of other users in the main section.
That is not how it works.

Well, it doesn't work having only ONE moderator who is the decider as to what gets removed and what doesn't.

No one else has been willing to help.
As I have explained before everything that is moderated is posted in the Mods group and JA reviews and she has no problem telling me if she disagrees who thinks I moderated something that should not have been. JA is the boss. She makes the rules.

If it keeps happening, I suspect more than just you will leave here.  Then moderating should be really easy.

Posts are only removed if they violate the rules.

I have no problem with people disagreeing with me, if I did, I would have left a long time ago.
