Have you seen the official photos of Trump and Vance?

These are the official portraits for President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Vance — "and they go hard," the transition said in a statement.

    No surprise to me.
    My first thought, "I like Mr. Vance's . But Mr. Trump's reminded me immediately of his other famous shot that many other people adore."  (I live in a very ProTtrump area, so I hear it al lthe time.)

    I've said my thoughts before about how so many of Trump's images, to me, strike me as him trying so hard to be authentic but he comes across to me as a bad actor, and over-the-top.
    But 100% of the comments under the images on the site to which I went were all humongously in approval of Trump's picture. They loved him and the picture. I then noticed the news site to which I had gone and then was, again, not surprised. Among the praisers was much negative name calling about those who don't agree with Trump. 

    Thank you, Mr. Vance, for smiling.

    He's trying to portray himself as a bada$$ when in fact he's just a bad actor.  These are the photos that are going to be on the walls of the White House in perpetuity.  I'm not even sure that Vance's photo is the most professional what with his hands folded. but it's better than Trump's.

    If they are referring to it as the official White House portrait,  yes they are. 

    Most of them do not seem to know the difference.  Lazy reporting. 

    I gave you the Official Inaugural portrait from 2017 and the Official White House portrait from 2017 and as you can see they are NOT the same.

    Is Trump's own web site wrong as well?  These are the 2025 official portraits according to his website. Perhaps referring to one of the many links provided, would have clarified that for you.     See below...and NO, Trump team is not incorrect. Others are not reading it correctly.  

    Vance has an official portrait as a Senator. 
    Now, he has an official portrait as Vice President Elect. 
    And will at some point have an official portrait as Vice President.  

    Not my all of those reporters were referring to them incorrectly or at least not fully correctly.   They are offical portraits but not the Official White House portraits.

    Sorry, my Trump decoder ring is malfunctioning. I actually thought the words official photos meant official photos. In fact, I still don't know why you have issues with this. Don't bother to try  and clarify. We liberals are not very bright.

    The transition team is wrong?

    "The official portraits of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance were released Thursday by the Trump transition team.

    "And they go hard," a press release from the transition said about the portraits.

    The statement added, "In just four days, Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States and JD Vance as the 50th Vice President of the United States — and their official portraits are here."

    I find everyone's input interesting and helpful, thank you everyone. :)

    I admit I don't care about what the details for the photos are or their exact "title"/purpose -- I just know that I don't like most of Trump's photos, ha. He has yet to strike me as sincere. (I realize that's just my impression of him, whatever that may indicate about me.) I give him credit for the smile in the one. 

    I also admit I don't understand, nor care, about the chart under your answer, my2cents, about "find out" and "F*ck around". But -- your comment - -" take the picture already" made me like Trump's photo a bit more . Ha.
