Is a free meal a free meal if you have to put a Trump hat on first?

While Trump Jr. was in Greenland he showed up at a fancy restaurant with a few people that lived in Greenland and they were all wearing Trump hats. Turned out the people were homeless and they didn’t know who Don Jr. was or much about Trump wanting to buy Greenland. What they did know was - before they sat at the table they had to put on the Trump hats.

Cheers and happy weekend!

I am sure the people in the restaurant were offered free hats.

But I do not believe Trump Jr was rounding up homeless people to fill a room.   Cameras were on him from the time he stepped foot off the plane until he stepped back on.

I also do not believe anyone there did not know who he was.

Correct. If he did  not do it personally, it doesnt count. Perhaps his team went rogue. This post was edited by Jane S at January 17, 2025 10:25 AM MST

Rogue - you mean like releasing his "official" portrait?

Oddly enough, I wouldn't know him if I saw him.

Well I figure because it is pretty cold in Greenland the homeless huddle together to keep warm. So Don Jr. wouldn’t have to go around town rounding them up and I bet he knew exactly were to find them. He didn’t fill a room with homeless it was only about 5 or 10. But that 5 or 10 was plenty enough to get him in front of a camera to and try and prove his dad cares about all the people of Greenland. And putting a Trump hat on them made it seem like they are Trump supports that need Trump’s help. Cheers and happy weekend!

I understand there are substance abuse issues in Greenland and maybe that is an underlying cause.

Someone who is homeless and hungry, especially someone in another country, will not think twice about being willing to put on a Trump hat to get fed.

Well I am a survivalist so I would eat a slug if I had to - but if the main coarse was putting on a Trump hat I would go hungry. What surprised me about this story is that there are homeless people in Greenland – I thought they had lots of social safety nets to prevent that sort of thing. Cheers and happy weekend!

I know what you mean and I was as surprised as you to learn about Greenland's homelessness.

I tried finding some info on homelessness in Greenland but found nothing. I did find that there is a bit of a homelessness problem in Denmark 1% of the population is homeless. Cheers and happy weekend!

Wouldn't expect anything different from a Trump!  He probably went out whaling afterwards, and mistakingly harpooned his dad.

Absolutely not! You already paid with your soul to put that stupid hat on.

I think the souls of those homeless people in Greenland are safe because they probably didn’t know what and who the hats represented. I figure it is the Trumps that sold their souls long ago and their only regret about it is they didn’t get more. Cheers and happy weekend!
