How can anyone look at the expression on Musk's face in this photo and think he's merely "excited?"

Watch the video.  Not a snap shot, not gif without the speech.
    https://youtu.be/5e5Dz2EvuOY?feature=shared
    (45 sec mark)

Musk took to the Capital One Arena stage in Washington to huge cheers, jumping and pumping his arms and shouting, "Yesssss".
"This was no ordinary victory. This was a fork in the road of human civilization," he said. "This one really mattered. Thank you for making it happen! Thank you."
Biting his bottom lip, he thumped his right hand over his heart, fingers spread wide, then extended his right arm out, emphatically, at an upward angle, palm down and fingers together. Then he turned and made the same hand gesture to the crowd behind him.
"My heart goes out to you. It is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured," he said as he finished the gesture. you.

You can sugar coat it any way you like - that's a Nazi salute.  Maybe you need to do some research on Hitler's rise.  Maybe you need to read about people who survived the death camps.  Maybe then, you would have some understanding of what happened back then and what could happen again here.  Then again, maybe you would  be happy with that - until they came for you and yours. ADL said it was not.

French Macron has also made the same gesture.

You may want to look at the posts here. I am more supportive of Israel and the Jewish people than majority of other users positions.

I don't care what Macron does - I'm not French.  Once again, there's a difference between Musk's full gesture and the other photos you showed of those merely raising their arms - not saluting.  One can't support the Jewish people and excuse someone making a Nazi salute, not once but TWICE.  Sorry - that doesn't fly with me.

So only care when they come for you? Since your not French....

Again ADL says it was not a NAZiI salute.

Macron did the Heart to You gesture.    It is on video.   Only difference is Elon is a Trump supporter and Macron is not. This post was edited by my2cents at January 25, 2025 9:18 AM MST

The difference is that Macron is not a Nazi.

Yawn. Aren't all white men according to some on the left? You left out sexist, misogynistic,  homophobic, Islamophobia, etc etc etc.

ADL said it was not a NAZI salute.

Of course he is. His wealth was built on apartheid-era child slave labor.

Watch this. Does supporting Nazis make you a Nazi? Either way...

Says I have to sign in to confirm I'm not a bot.  Sorry.

Supporting Nazis doesn't make you one, but it shows that you condone what they believe and how they behave and that's almost as bad. This post was edited by Spunky at January 27, 2025 8:56 AM MST

Irrespective of what the ADL or anyone else may think, Germans and Austrians are authorities on what is and what isn't a Nazi salute.

This was recently posted on X:

    "Alex
    @alex_avoigt
If Elon had made the gesture he made twice at the Trump inauguration at any event in ???????? Giga Berlin or visit to Germany, he would have been charged in Germany under 86a StGB and § 130 StGB and possibly sent for up to 3 years to prison as many others have already,

It is against the law and a criminal offense for a reason.

The conviction would be independent of what some believe Elon wanted to say with the gesture, but only what can be seen on the video and that is a fact and undoubtedly what is defined in the German law.

It's the same in ???????? Austria and it's forbidden for good reason, namely because of the lessons that the two countries and my homeland have learnt from history.

If you don't believe that, come to Germany, make the gesture somewhere, and see what happens to you.

So ADL is wrong? I will remember that they have no authority on things of this nature.

There are many things that are illegal in other countries.
Criticize the gov in some other countries and they will arrest you, aren't you glad that is not the case here? I know I am.

Some people prefer to base their opinions on what some 'authority ' says and we should try to respect that.

I respect what I see with my own eyes and what I saw was the Nazi salute - not once, but twice.

Check out this link.  This is the epitome of appreciation with a gesture of a hand to the heart and then a raised hand.

Can you see the difference between this and the Nazi salute made twice by Must  Musk?  You most likely can't. This post was edited by Spunky at January 30, 2025 1:11 PM MST
