No. X token is NOT tied to Musk.
It is a crypto currency but not Musk's, he does not have one.

I would recommend investing in something unless you completely understand it. This post was edited by my2cents at February 8, 2025 8:45 AM MST

I would recommend you re-read what you wrote  Your advice as it stands doesn't make sense.

Good idea.  I was on X this morning and got the impression it is Musks,  buying them would be an investment in his empire.  Thanks for the tip.

I prefer cars that don't spontaneously combust. Particularly as the standard practice for fighting a lithium fire is to protect the exposures and let it burn. Water/foam make it worse, halides are illegal now and DCP is fiendishly expensive in the quantities required.
SpaceX is limited unless you want to privatize the universe, and Starlink is having its own problems - LEO is getting crowded and they lost 120 satellites in January 2025 alone. PayPal has been hacked.
I think the reason Elon wanted a job with His Royal Orangeness is that his businesses are starting to go belly up. Birds of a feather.

I am not a fan of any ev.

Elon already had a job with the gov.
Elon is a classic liberal.  So he values not wasting tax money, freedom of speech, and is left several other issues.   It is freedom of speech that has linked him to the right. And why he bought Twitter.  They censored a post of his from the Bee.

There are many departments I would not want Elon in....but Gov Effiecency is good.

I already pointed out in another thread that he's practically forcing former allies to build relationships with China by shredding a Kennedy-era department.

Money laundering department. Government waste.  We do not need it.

You'll see how much you needed it when China freezes you out of international trade and NATO cuts you out of defense. Denmark, Poland and Canada are ready to leave - Canada will drag the UK with them, Scandinavia will join Denmark and eastern Europe will follow Poland. We may well see a new NATO which excludes the USA. Nobody will buy from you, sell to you and you can all go to Hell in a handbasket. This isn't the 1920s, isolationism doesn't work anymore.

The US being out of NATO is not the threat you think it is....

Canada and Mex need US more than we need them.

It is a scam. However, Elon Musk continues to accept advertising for it on his platform, which makes it look legitimate. That should tell you who Elon Musk is and how much he cares about his users on X.

I agree.    I don't know how their system works. But users should flag them on the forum.

Well, I tried and made a mess of things.  Now I'm blocked from accessing any of Elon or Trumps posts they are all grayed out.  hahahahaHAHAHAHA...I've really done it this time. OMG, I still can't believe it.

The moral of the story is;  if they don't have the "correct" category to report the issue, don't use the second best, lol, it just may blow up in your face.   LMAO

Not at all, they made the right response based on the choice i made.

What choice was that? I'm curious.

    Well, there were only a few choices for reporting  a problem;
The only one that remotely applied was "report an imposter," and asked for a name. I put in Elon Musk, immediately everything related to Musk or Trump was grayed out.  No way to go back to delete or correct the choice.  Now I'm locked out for even viewing anything related to Trump or Musk.  Oops! lol

Well, I am shocked, seriously.  I sent an email to the spaceX email address explaining what I did and the resulting lock out.  Went back today and found a notice they had received my report and I am now back in, able to view everything.  Not only that they included a list of those advertising the x token. I'm impressed.

Wow. But if they know who is advertising the token, why are they allowing it?

That is a mystery to me as well. Perhaps they are waiting for complaints?  I'm sure not going try and report anything after what happened last time.
