Those of you who live up here in the snowy/icy climes, are you having trouble getting salt for your driveway/sidewalk?

I think it is the tariffs. My neighbor found some in a town across the river and got me a bag.

My neighbor ordered two 50 lb. bags from Lowe's and he has been shoveling and salting my driveway.  I allow him to use my shed to store his snow blower and lawn mower and in return, he shovels and mows for me.  I think I got the better end of that deal.

It's a domestic product. The shortage is most likely regional if certain areas are experiencing more snow than usual. But we are always well prepared here. 

I did the math...that is more expensive than regular rock salt.

This is a warm weather activity. Salt is less effective at temperatures under 20° F
