In 1812, Jefferson said that taking Canada would simply be a matter of marching. The Canadians set fire to the White House and gave the US a proper a$$-whupping.
Now Trump is talking about forcing Canada to join the US, and we all know that the only way that can happen is invasion. We also know it won't happen, the military is actually required to refuse illegal orders even if they come from the Cheeto in chief. But if, for argument's sake, the US military DID attempt to take Canada, would the Canadians be angry enough to do it again?
No this time we are going to let America bankrupt itself – then we are going in and buy ever thing including the WH.
Thought I would share a song called “One Gun by 54 – 40”.
It is about when America advocated for the annexation of what is now British Columbia, a contested area in the Oregon boundary dispute. Cheers!
No way. But we will buy him a one way ticket to Russia – you’re welcome. Cheers!
Thought I would add a brag about the kind of Canadian troops an invading force would be confronted with.
Some of those troops would be Patricia’s. They know how to fight in all kinds of weather and terrain. Their combat training is part British commando – part French foreign legion – part Russian storm trooper – part US rangers.
One of their Motto’s is – We Shall Find A Way. And I sleep better knowing they would.
I used to think if an invading force was to invade Canada – it would be Russia. So the thought of America invading Canada blows my mind. Cheers!
