What will Trump think about Canada now (part 3)?

Canada will erect a series of huge billboards along highways in the U.S. as part of an anti tariff campaign.

Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly told CNN Friday.

The billboards will appear in 12 red states which include Florida, Nevada, Georgia, New Hampshire, Michigan and Ohio.

Cheers and happy weekend!

I’m thinking by now they are starting to feel the pinch of Trump’s tariffs and they are staring to figure out what is causing the pinch. Cheers and happy weekend!

They will when food prices spike due to tariffs on Canadian potash. The US doesn't produce any hardly, more than 80% of it comes from Canada and it's vital for growing crops.

Not a problem because there will be no one to pick anything they would grow anyway.

They won't believe it because most can't read.

Pointless in the middle of nowhere. It needs to be placed next to trailer parks, churches, shooting ranges, liquor stores and brothels.

They can spend all the money they want in the USA.

The US doesn't produce even close to enough of everything to meet demand. No aluminium ore. Next to no potash. No light crude (the heavy crude under Texas and the Gulf of Mexico is much harder and much more expensive to refine into gasoline). How the hell did you graduate from High School economics without a basic grasp of the Law of Supply and Demand?

That has nothing to do with CA spending money in red states, spending stimulates those economies.

In my red state, gas is down, milk is down, coffee is down etc....

I own and operate two businesses, I understand supply and demand.  And so far this year, it is looking good.  This post was edited by my2cents at March 23, 2025 7:21 AM MDT

In response to a question of mine a while back, you said that you rely pretty heavily on tourism. Good luck with that, international travel to the US is in free fall.
