Can you tell us about your electric bill?

I just got my electric bill and it is a whopping $15.48.

I think that is pretty darn cheep considering it was for a winter month.
I used 21 KW of power per day which works out to 88 cents of electricity per day. Also my energy consumption is down 68% from the same pay period last year.

Cheers!

    Smile and be happy.
Most people around here are looking at $500+ power bills for March (and it wasn't a cold month).  I've been living in a dark (no lights), 55-58 degree house all winter in an effort to keep my bill below $150 (which I can barely afford).
Depending on when my April climate rebate kicks in, I may get a $0 (or less) bill for March or April.

I was smiling and being happy. But now I’m a little sad because I read that your bill is so high you have to live in the dark and keep your heat so low. Hope you win a lottery or something. Cheers and happy weekend!

Whoa - 21kWh a day equates to a quarterly bill of $1000 in South Australia. Unless you have solar, which is why we have the largest per capita solar generation in the world and by a considerable margin.
Mine aren't quite that high but still equate to almost $2k a year. Privatization sucks.

My bill was $28.67 before tax. I used 23kwh/day @  $1.10  But that is USD, it would be $1.55 CAD per day. I believe most of the electricity in my area comes from Canada, so my costs could change in the near future.

Seems like your electric bill is much lower than the other American AM users. So I am wondering if it is because your electricity comes from Canada. Trump is always saying Canada treats Americans so unfairley but your electric bill might prove him wrong. Cheers and happy weekend!

It's probably because my home is smaller, I don't heat with electricity, and because of Canadian imports. But I expect to pay 25% more this month.

My bills are all over the place.  Last month, it was $187.21.  The month before, it was $255.38.  The month before that was $225.52.  Until last month, I was changing the temp depending on how cold I was - somewhere between 68-72.  Then I decided to lower the thermostat to 66 all the time and that's how my bill lowered to $187.21.

Yet. If His Royal Orangeness decides to get even nastier, the Canadians can put the price up. Or cut you off entirely, but that won't happen unless Congress decides to accede to his wish to make Canada "the 51st state" and declares war.
