Apologists for the Second Amendment are continually bleating that they need their guns "to defend them against a tyrannical government".

So with His Royal Orangeness channelling Mad King George and "transporting persons upon the seas for pretended transgressions" (this was one of the reasons put forward by the Founding Fathers as an excuse for the Revolution that caused the United States to be in the first place), why hasn't anyone done it yet? Or gunned down ICE agents attempting to wrongfully arrest innocent people? I'm NOT advocating for these things to happen, I believe that the Second is an anachronism that should have been repealed by the end of the First World War. I'm just wondering why nobody has done it yet.

    Illegal alien deported for being in a gang and beating his wife.  Not tyrannical for me. Just a POTUS defending this country from thugs. 

    The 2nd Amendment is not going anywhere. We have our freedom because of the 2nd.  We do not get arrested for internet posts or hauled off to camps because we have a bad flu...because we still have our Guns.

    NO ONE WAS HAULED OFF TO A CAMP, that was a lie. And both the Federal Australian government AND the State government of New South Wales were CONSERVATIVE at the time when COVID caused lockdowns. Enforced by police, not the Army, and the only people who were "hauled off" (to police lock-ups and "drunk tanks", not internment camps) were those who broke lockdown and then resisted arrest.     Cops. No branch of the Australian military wears dark blue except the Navy, at that certainly wasn't a Naval operation. Why would the military have "POLICE" on a hi-vis background on the back of their jackets?
