    If we made Carter give up his peanut farm, he should have refused,  it was perfectly legal for him to own and operate his farm.

    The plane is a gift to the DOJ not to Trump.

    No one made Carter sell his farm. He voluntarily put in a blind trust to avoid conflicts of interest. There is no obligation to do so, but most presidents considered it the right thing to do.
