Don't you think life is safer when guns are mostly illegal ?

Here in canada, guns law is very strict... 

So its really safe to live... 

 

I imagine in USA, all the shootings happening are simply because guns are so easy to get

    Yes, it makes sense to me to limit gun ownership, especially for military style weapons. But guns are a big industry here and our elected officials pay attention to who donates to their campaigns.

    It's one thing to have and share an opinion, but to be so vehement about it... 

    Would Belgium, for example (since the question doesn't specify a country), "of course not" be safer if guns were widely, legally available?

    Well,  we don't need to have active shooter drills in Kindergarten, so obviously. They get more shooting murders per week in the US than we've had in 25 years.
