Is Trump afraid of Musk?

For the past 4 days Musk has been bad mouthing Trump’s spending bill – and Trump has said nothing (not even on Truth Social). Usually a person could say something like Trump forgot to tie his shoes and within hours Trump would be calling that person nasty. So I think it is because Musk has info on Trump - so Trump is afraid to rock the boat.

It could also be because Trump and Musk were best friends – just kidding Trump doesn't have a loyal bone in his body. Cheers!

If I was waiting for a $100 million dollar check, I wouldn't be publicly bad-mouthing the peron who was supposed to be sending it to me.

"Billionaire Elon Musk reportedly still owes president Donald Trump an eye-watering $100 million out of the $300 million he committed to get the reality TV star elected.

That's according to the Wall Street Journal, which reports that now that the bromance between the two has seemingly ground to a halt, Musk isn't keeping the cash flowing. Trump's advisors said that the latest $100 million check hasn't arrived yet, in perhaps the most concrete sign yet of a widening rift between the two larger-than-life figures."

Musk got what he wanted - an end to all the investigations into himself and his businesses and some lucrative contracts and didnt save trillions.  Now Trump's BBB  has provisions that will remove incentives that benefit the EV industry. So, I think Trump was duped by Elon and Elon was betrayed by Trump. Elon still controls his social media platform and has the means to spread whatever he wants about Trump, true or not. He has the upper hand here.

I wonder if these investigations will now be re-ignited.

Not likely. The agencies conducting them have all been neutered.

You're probabloyright.  So, nothing will happen and no one will be held accountable.  Business as usual.

Trump just broke his silence and suggested that Musk was similar to people who he said become "hostile" upon leaving the administration because they "miss it so badly." I don’t think that’s it though.

And now I know why Trump didn’t say anything for 4 days – it took 4 days to come up with a lame excuse like that.

    Cheers!

This is going to be quite a show. Elon just said Trump is in the Epstein files. Trumps comments about Musk have sent Tesla stock into a nosedive. Two grown men having a public breakup and hurling insults and accusations. I'm sure this is just the beginning.

Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!

That may be the only thing on which Trump and I agree.

It's like watching two drunks swinging at each other on an episode of Jerry Springer. Its pathetic.

It's beyond pathetic, but it was inevitable.  Two huge egos can't be in the same space at the same time.

This Trump/Musk thing has really escalated in the last couple of hours. There have been treats of cutting off government contracts and the release of some Epstein files. But I think Trump took it too far when he talked about Musk during his WH meeting with the GermanChancellor.
They were supposed to be talking about trade – not Musk. Trump loves bringing people down – but he shouldn’t of mixed America’s business with his pleasure. Cheers!

Trump has no filter.  He says whatever comes into his mind.  He thinks bad-mouthing Musk in front of the German chancellor makes him seem stong.  it makes him look like the ignoramus he is.

Drama for the left and the right.  While things get passed.
Like the Big Beautiful Bill and some of the DOGE cuts (not enough but as start)

The EV rebate cuts benefit Tesla.  He makes $6k per vehicle other manufacturers make less than $1k....the loss of the EV rebate hurts those companies.
