Do you want to watch the 250th Army parade?

    The 250th Army Birthday parade?  ;)

    I turned it on while I was ironing.  I think it was a nice thing to do for 250 years of Army.  I did not see it as a Presidential birthday parade.  Watching soldiers march got old pretty fast for me but what I did enjoy was the historical information and seeing the troops in the uniforms of different conflicts.  Also, it seemed expensive, but everything government does "seems expensive."

    Yes it was for the Army. Trump's birthday just happens to be the same day, also JD Vance's anniversary.  

    I am sure it was expensive.  But several networks were saying it was likely cheaper exposure for recruitment than advertising would have cost. This post was edited by my2cents at June 15, 2025 4:05 PM MDT

    Our troops know how to march in step.  I believe this was their way of showing their disdain for the "spectacle" in which they were forced to participate.

    I don't know anyone who disrespect the military simply because they don't respect the commander-in- chief. In fact, most of the people with my political views are appalled by Trump's lack of respect for the military.

    Perhaps you could have asked for clarification, if you had a problem with the posts,  instead of jumping to conclusions and making accusations of hatred and disrespect. I have never and would never, disrespect the military. You would not accept anyone making that comment about yourself that you just made about others.

    That kind of hurt my feelings because I have always put a lot of time and thought into aiming my disrespect at Trump – not the American people or it’s military.

    Example

    Trump: Knock knock.

    Low income school kid: Who’s there?

    Trump: Donald.

    Low income school kid: Donald who:

    Trump: The Donald that just had a glorious 50 million dollar military parade. Did you see it?

    Low income school kid: No I was too busy fighting hunger all day.
