In middle life, now that I’ve started to take physical fitness more seriously, I’ve come to the realisation that some of those floor-fillers are awesome work-out and running songs, even if the lyrics sound like the sort of inane drivel that the Spice Girls might have penned after a botched ice-pick lobotomy. So, I’m conflicted.
Ha, ha. I’m writing a story which begins with the protagonist’s morning exercise routine, and that’s how I came up with that line. So, if it ever appears in print, you’ll know it hast been plagiarised.

How did I fail to notice?! I'm going to listen again to the song some time today! Have to get to a busy weekend of work but I'll be smiling, I bet, thinking of that "extra" word, ha. :)
I promise I'm not lying. This afternoon while I was mowing my yard, your words came to my mind and I was singing -- and the words I sang it to were in Paul McCartney and Wings' song "Live and Let Die," not John Lennon's "Imagine."
And I smile as I type -- just at this moment, after reading your reply again, I realize you never said the words that drive you crazy are in "Imagine."
A purposeless reply on my part, I guess, now. But I'll leave it anyway. :)
