Is Trumps new executive order going to help or hinder the homeless?

Trump’s new order redirects federal funds to ensure that homeless people are transferred to rehabilitation centers and other facilities.

It sounds good - but I have to wonder what Trump has in mind when he say’sother facilities”. Hitler had homeless people moved to “other facilities” but back then they called them considerations camps. Cheers!

I'm sure his only goal is to help the unfortunate and it will be done in the same humane and orderly way that undocumented immigrants are being rounded up and detained. His goal is probably not just moving the problem to where rich folks don't have to see it. During his campaign, he talked about building facilities on unused lands outside the cities. I expect he has a plan for increasing the needed resources that are in short supply in urban areas and in even shorter supply farther out. He must also have a plan for keeping them from returning  to areas where they aren't wanted, like fences and armed guards. As for 'concentration camps', a concentration camp is defined as a guarded compound for mass detention without hearing for targeted demographics. Not the same thing...or is it?

If these folks are going to be sent to facilities without their consent, then they are being detained in concentration camps.

Illegal alien is not a demographic.  An illegal alien can be any race, gender, age, etc.

Firstly, yes it is and, secondly,  we were discussing the homeless, which is a also a demographic. A demographic is a segment of population with certain common characteristics. In addition to what you listed it can include citizenship, economic status, interest in motorcycles or just about anything that members of that population group have in common. MAGA is a demographic.

The DOE was created in 1980. It wasn't there for you and me, and it might not have the benefits that you expected.

Google must have it in for you.  I just asked and it confirmed what I thought.

    That's wild!

Added: I  couldn't understand this, so I kept digging. The difference is caused by the fact that I used the word 'are' and you used 'is'. It shouldn't make a difference, but it did. AI interpreted my question as referring to a group and your question as referring to the term 'illegal alien '. Nevertheless,  it gave different answers as to whether legal status is a demographic.

While I rarely use an AI overview as an authority and usually go on to use links to other sources, I now know that AI has some serious limitations and can't be taken at face value.

It gets them into the system so they can get the help they need to because a productive member of society.  Or at least not a danger to themselves and/or others.

They will get help with drug addiction,  mental health issues, etc.

I figure part of his plan is to claim certain states (like California) aren't following his order so he will send in the military or nation guard to do it for them. That way he figures he will look like a tuff guy and get back at certain states.  Cheers!

Trump might want to read the section of the Constitution that requires due process before depriving someone of their liberty. If he was really interested in getting help for the mentally ill and those suffering from addiction,  he would be making treatments more accessible and affordable instead of cutting healthcare assistance.  As a country, we can choose how to allocate our tax dollars and I believe we are making poor choices. We need representatives who work for their constituents instead of their donors.

Healthcare has not been cut. People who should never have been on it to start have been removed. Fraud has been removed.
They saved several Billions of dollars just by correcting the system that had people enrolled in more than one medicaid program in more than one state.  (No one lost coverage, everyone kept the one plan that they were rightfully entitled to be enrolled in)
Also deporting illegals will release some of the resources that they were using. Supply and demand, deportation will remove some of the demand for everything.

So much here that has been proven false. But I don't have the time, energy or interest to begin to explain it.
Just as I don't see any documentation from you to support your claims.

    https://www.cms.gov/newsroom/press-releases/cms-finds-28-million-americans-potentially-enrolled-two-or-more-medicaid/aca-exchange-plans

2.8 million people double enrolled, saved  $14 Billion.
    saved.
Illegals who we were told do not get medicaid but somehow, IL, CA and MN are all cutting medicaid for illegals.   That is was taxpayer money that was funding those problems.   (State tax money is still taxpayer money)

Medicaid will be cut by a trillion dollars over the next 10 years, so if accurate, that $14B is not gonna cover it.

"Potentially" does not mean it's a fact.  It means it's a possibility, not that it has already happened.

"sed to say that something may develop into something
    synonym - possibly
    https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/definition/english/potentially

"sed to describe the possible results or effects of something"
    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/potentially

"sed to say you are not certain
    https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/potentially

Therefore, your "proof" is not conclusive.

We just broke the record for monthly tariff revenue again for July and it is not over yet.

Why is it a bad thing to remove people who were enrolled in more than one medicaid program and eliminate that waste. Or to require able bodied working aged people to work a whole 80 hrs a month?

I always thought people wanted to get rid of waste and fraud but I guess I was wrong.
