Amen!! I very much agree with your disagreement to that platitude. The customer is NOT always right.
I've seen SO many customers being openly rude to business owners/employees. My sister was a waitress at various restaurants and the stories she'd share of how some people treated her -- and, not just because I'm one of her brothers, I simply know she is about the nicest person in the world.
Yes many customer's are just rude. Some are looking for some way to get a big discount. My husband says he is always amazed when I get one of those, because I don't run them off, and I get the sale without them getting g their big discount. Waiters and waitresses mistreated so badly. If feel for your sister.
Of course. :) As a customer, I am always right as well. I bought a lawn mower at Walmart years ago. It was messing up and when I went to return it. They told me that they would not take the return because it had been used and had gas in it. After a little back and forth, I looked up at their sign which said specifically they would take lawn mowers back within 30days of purchase. The threw their hands up and said fine. I did notice the sign was removed shortly afterwards.
Since a very young boy, I've noticed the world blatantly, directly, and constantly tells me my weather preference is downright WRONG. (To their credit, my family never said I was wrong.)
"Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather!" (i.e., ONLY bright sunny cloudless blue sky weather is called beautiful by The World)
The world ALWAYS calls the weather I love dreary, gloomy and depressing.
No, World. I disagree.
This sky has ALWAYS been beautiful and comforting to WelbyQuentin:
EDIT: Oh! And "Why" do I disagree? Yes, that would be my whole point. Since a young boy, I know I always loved the gray color and the sky, with the big gray clouds that covered the entire sky -- I literally would just stop and sit or lie down on the ground and simply watch the beautiful-to-me sky. (I rarely, if ever, did that on the blue sky sunny days). THe sky would be so comforting to me. That's all I can say on why I disagree. And The World has yet to tell me why my weather preference is so wrong. But they continue saying it.
Whoa -- Missive Ended :)

I recently learned that it's a sign of creativity to overthink. A lot people do not have the capacity to come up with alternative scenarios that cause some to overthink. So, overthinking is just another one of your many talents.
