Did you hear about Trump’s diet pill wish sandwich?

Trump just made a deal to bring down the cost of diet products in America. I think he should be bringing down the cost of food in America instead. So I made this joke up about him.

Did you hear about Trump’s diet pill wish sandwich?

A Trump diet pill wish sandwich is were you have a handful of diet pills and you wish you had some bread.
(stole some of that from the Blues Brothers)

Cheers!

Groceries are coming down. And will continue.

The cost of a Thanksgiving dinner is 25% lower than last year.

That’s what Trump claimed. But it seems that he got that 25% cheaper thing from a Wallmart Thanksgiving promotion. A 25% sale at one store doesn't indicate that food prices are 25% cheaper all across America. Cheers and happy weekend!

It is a stat that is announced every year.  And it is down 25% this year.

I know last year you could not get turkey for less than a $1/lb and this year $0.85/lb.   That is a significant drop.

I know some prices have dropped and some are about the same.

Pretty sure stats aren't released or counted during a government shut down. And I am still pretty sure Trump got his stats from a Wallmart promotion. Turns out the Wallmart Thanksgiving basket was a little bit misleading. The 2025 basket has 6 less items and more generic items than the 2024 basket. Cheers and happy weekend!

Also, one should not assume that if turkey is $.85 per lb. one place, it's the same price everywhere. The least expensive in my area is at Aldi - $.97 per lb.  The least expensive in Giant was $1.99 per lb.

Of course, but the point is compared to last year's price.
