Discussion»Questions»Communication» This is what he did, that is what I did. All the king's horses, all the French men can't put it back together again. Woe is me, pain to see?
No worries -- I came by Humpty and helped him out. I was a Good Samaritan to him. We weren't in Canada nor Samaria. though. You can "let go of your woe." :)
Drifting..through a sea of endless emotions... Hendrix song..feel like now.. somebody black from an electric company caught me in the T commented on my leather jacket and she felt it then we touched hands and I told her universal love. Fact. Is it endless emotions?

You do realize that Humpty Dumpty wasn't an egg, right?
Humpty Dumpty was in fact a CANNON. During the Battle of St Marys in the English Civil War, a squad of Cavaliers (the "King's Men") hauled the gun to the top of a church tower to defend the town against Cromwell's rebel Roundheads. When the rebels gained the wall and blew it up, the cannon fell into the marshy ground and was lost, so the defenders "couldn't put Humpty together again".
Quite a lot of nursery rhymes have gruesome origins. "Ring Around the Roses", for example, is a nod to the Black Death which killed a third of Europe.
Darn, forgot that I failed to reply to your reply to my answer. I think somewhere in my past I knew about the 'real' Dumpty but had forgotten until I saw your reply. Very cool! :)
