Yes, but I hate to say it, enjoyable ones. Something about the Arizona monsoon is different than anything else I've experienced in other states; the feeling in the air, the temperature, stirring of emotions, all feel different, I actually miss them. Always start thinking about Arizona on the 4th of July until I hear the monsoon season has begun...yes, I check.

As an amateur meteorologist I find thunderstorms fascinating (I like all weather). Unfortunately, the kind we have out here are rather mundane and are hard to see due to all the trees.
I tend to just enjoy the overall 'aura' with thunderstorms. I was born in Iowa and my first life memories are from there -- and my sibs' and my dad would take us sibs outside and we could see storms coming toward us miles away. So lovely to me! I'm still the same fan of storms.

Sometimes I'll relax on the verandah with a cold beer and watch one roll in from the west. I'm not keen on miserable, gloomy weather, overcast with drizzle - when it has to be wet I prefer something more entertaining.
EDIT And it looks like three different pictures made into one to me. "Grrr." (Thanks Randy D) The sky, the water, and the man somehow don't look like they're in the same place at the same time to me. I don't know.
