Discussion»Questions»Human Behavior» Do you ever apologize? If you insult someone publicly do you have the character/integrity to apologize publicly? Why?
If I insult or make false conclus I will tell them. If I made the insult publicly it will be where I excuse my mistake too. Why? Because I think it's the right thing to do. These are parts of my values.
Ditto SH. Me too. I have never been shy about apologizing out loud in front of a crowd if I were mistaken. Doing otherwise would be dishonest. Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesda! :)
If I've insulted someone publicly an apology will be extremely unlikely unless I am mistaken in some way. Then it's a given, but I'm not going to apologise for something I meant to say. :)
Yes. You were mistaken. There would be no other conceivable reason to apologize MrWitch, publicly or otherwise. I am confused by the second part of your reply. Why would you be expected to apologize for something you "meant to say"? How does that come into play? Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday.

Just that I can't think of a person I've insulted that I didn't mean to insult Rosie. I don't throw them around except in a very mild way among close friends and family (cultural insults?) So if I'm going to go to the effort of insulting someone I will mean it, and will therefore have no reason to apologise. :)
